SOMETHING ABOUT ME
Production year: 1974, made in Berlin/Germany, keyboardist and composer for commercials, tv/cinema, media and in-game music.
"If it doesn't sounds good on the piano -
it doesn't sounds good at all."
I came from synthesizers and electronic sound generators but one of my alltime favorite sound is the piano, especially a 1962 STEINWAY D.

Some things in electronic music can`t fit with the piano but a piano is the most honest instrument and if it doesn`t sounds good on the piano it doesn`t sounds good at all.

I use piano plug-in`s with the CA7 from KAWAI because of the very good keys and piano feeling.

UNDER MY FINGERS
The first pro board under my fingers was the ROLAND JUNO-106 of my oldest brother Alan in 1985.

It was a very exciting thing to play sounds I never heard before but I had not intention to become a musician.

It changed abruptly in 1988 when there was an E-MU EMAX in my brothers home studio... and it was pure magic.

Over the years I had many keys under my fingers and collected.
One of the most impressive thing was the YAMAHA QY-20, a pocket DAW... hardly bigger than a smart phone.

Influences
MUSIC WAS AT HOME ALL DAY
I grew up in a musical home.
Grandfather was a classical musician and jazz drummer in a GI jazz band and my mom listened to music all day long.
My older brother Alan was on the way to become a rock&electro-musician and so I was surrounded by a lot of different music who became my favorite musicians, too.

I grew up with music from Dean Martin, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Lionel Hampton, Django Reinhardt, Maria Callas, The Beatles, KISS, Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, Michael Jackson, The Cure, Grandmaster Flash and George Michael.

However, film music impressed me the most since I saw SUPERMAN, STAR WARS and JAMES BOND for the very first time on video cassette recorder in 1980.
John Williams and John Barry had the most influence on me.
